Aarushi joined Elevar in 2021 and is part of the India Investing team.
Prior to Elevar, Aarushi spent three years at MAX Security Solutions, an Israeli security and intelligence company, as an intelligence manager. Her work there included establishing, analyzing and forecasting geo-political trends and disruptions to business continuity in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a specialized focus on South and West Africa, and providing real-time tactical intelligence and analysis to clients.
Aarushi completed her BA in Economics and International Relations and a concurrent MA in Finance from Claremont McKenna College, California. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exploring new places and activities, dancing and playing (and winning at) board games.
The Elevar Method’s inclusion of Customer Business Value (CBV) in the ROE calculation, which implies that social impact is a primary factor in determining company success, encapsulates why I wanted to be a part of Elevar.
My previous experience was very heavy on research, analysis and critical reasoning.
The time spent assessing Sub-Saharan African countries has instilled a great fascination for the continent in me. This, combined with my interest in international relations and working towards the development of low-income communities, has made working in the African Development Bank or the World Bank’s Africa team a very appealing alternate career choice.
I can usually be found trying new bakeries and patisseries, playing Settlers of Catan and Monopoly way too seriously, and reading late into the night.
