Minal joined Elevar in 2018 and manages finance and compliance at Elevar in India.
Minal joined with 11 years of experience in audit, taxation, accounting, law, secretarial matters and fund administration of which six years were spent in the PE/VC space. Prior to joining Elevar, Minal was with Sabre Partners, a healthcare and financial services-focused private equity fund where she managed matters related to finance and compliance and setting up the operations framework for portfolio companies. Prior to Sabre, she was at Tranzmute Capital & Management, a firm focused on providing capital to emerging entrepreneurs as well as support to established family businesses. Her role there involved providing strategic and operational support to Tranzmute clients.
A firm believer in the adage, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”, Minal has volunteered for organizations dealing with urban sanitation problems in Bangalore.
Minal is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and Financial Risk Manager. She graduated with a Bachelors in Commerce degree from Mumbai University. In her free time, when not reading or cooking, she enjoys writing restaurant reviews and designing travel itineraries for friends.
What are the most and least favorite parts of your job?
Most favorite – Freedom that comes with doing a task, albeit with responsibility. Least favorite – The perils of being part of the finance dept – almost having to be like a school principal at times with the rest of the team.

At the risk of being controversial – the only organisation where every single one of my colleagues have a very high level of integrity.

A visit to a low income school organised by Lead. The dedication of the teachers, the relief that Lead brought to the principal and the sheer happiness, ownership and enthusiasm in the children.
